Battle of Franklin Tour Recap

Greetings friends,

We are pleased to announce two new tours that take you to the very ground where our nation was forged, examining the people, places and issues of the time from a distinctly providential perspective. No “luck” or “coincidence” here, only God orchestrating all things for His glory. Come with us and see!

Both tours culminate with very special opportunities to honor and interact with a small remnant of men that served our country in past wars. The era of the WWII soldier is drawing to an end and the window of opportunity to introduce our children to them is quickly closing. Take advantage of these precious opportunities at special early bird rates and register today for the Carolina Chronicles Tour and the Heroes of History Tour!

Carolina Chronicles Tour
May 21-26, 2014

Led by historian Bill Potter, with special appearance by Dan Horn, this whirlwind tour of the northern precincts of the Tar Heel State will communicate the providences of God in places you may have heard of but never actually explored for yourself. We will be walking the battlefields and telling the stories of Alamance, Guilford Courthouse, Bentonville, and Bennett Place as well as exploring many other sites including Old Salem, founded by Moravian missionaries to America in the mid 1700s. Our tour will conclude on Memorial Day in Wake Forest at the renowned annual celebration at the home of one of the most effective preachers today, Pastor Scott Brown, where we will meet veterans from World War II forward and hear stories of war and redemption, danger and providential protection.

Heroes of History Tour
June 3-7, 2014

The Providence of God is as plain and powerful along the southern shoreline as anywhere in America. Join historian Bill Potter as we experience the amazing and unique historical places along the Gulf of Mexico from Mobile to New Orleans. We will begin in New Orleans, touring Chalmette Plantation, the Old US Mint and famous Metairie Cemetery before turning our attention to the WWII Museum on the 70th Anniversary of D-Day. Saturday evening, we will conclude our tour with a very special ‘40s theme Tribute Dinner to honor our veterans, held in the Aircraft Pavilion alongside the USS Alabama and amidst war planes from WWII, Viet Nam, and the Cold War era. Following the dinner, the men and boys have the unique opportunity to sleep aboard the battleship in the berthing deck where the sailors that served aboard the Alabama took their rest.
